I recently moved to State College, PA
Our pictures are a good way to keep up with what we've been doing.
While at the University of Iowa, I worked with
Professor Alberto Segre on adding features to
NICE, the Network
Infrastructure for Combinatorial Exploration. NICE supports nagging
and partitioning for distributed search algorithms.
I also worked (with Anton
Kruger) on creating a web-based interface to the data from the
Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service Verification (AHPSVER)
project at the Iowa Institute
of Hydraulic Research. Our paper on this web-based interface has been recently
published in Computers and Geosciences.
I participated in the following projects when I was working
for the Center for Computational Visualization at the University of
Texas at Austin.
I taught "Programming with C++" (in both Fall and Spring 2005) to graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Iowa.
